We want to thank you all for your interest and continued support of making dreams come true at YIP.  We are fired up and ready to rock our nation and go in where the need is!  Our country has over 16,000 murders a year, about 40 a day. Detroit and Oakland are in the top 3 cities where this atrocity is going on.  Chicago is in the top 10.  This summer, we are BRINGING it!  With our leadership development and making CHANGE in DETROIT, in OAKLAND, and in CHICAGO to help not only prevent the high murder rates but we are also giving young leaders from these inner cities a new trajectory and support system within their communities to change.  We have taken YIP to the next level on a national stage at three of our nation’s most prestigious universities Northwestern University, the University of Michigan, and the University of California at Berkeley in three of our nation’s most dangerous communities to grow up in as an “at-risk” young boy (Chicago, Detroit, Oakland).

We are breaking down barriers in academics, leadership, and life skills by doing it the old fashion way- TRUST and RELATIONSHIPS.  We are creating two-way bridges over raging currents in developing real trust and real relationships and access between these prestigious academic institutions with their students and our young leaders, their families from the nearby same communities. Bringing access, skills development in academics, athletics, and character to make our community and nation a better place.
