The Development Coordinatoris responsible for directing, planning, and organizing all of Youth Impact Program’s fundraising. This position works closely with The National Office Program Director in all development and fundraising endeavors. 


  • Develop and formulate fundraising strategies and solicitation procedures, and oversees all fundraising activities to achieve funding goals
  • Direct, coordinate, and grow major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors
  • Identify new donor bases and meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications with them
  • Acts as a YIP liaison with funding partners and organizations
  • Lead and oversee grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements
  • Research, draft, and submit grant proposals that help YIP achieve the annual fundraising goal for the national office and regional programs
  • Gather documentation and fulfills the necessary requirements of various funding bodies to formally submit funding on behalf of YIP
  • Direct capital campaigns and other major fundraising drives
  • Coordinate fundraising special events
  • Work closely with the Board and Finance Committee
  • Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems
  • Create material and publications to support fundraising activities
  • Demonstrate professional conduct at all times
  • Perform other related duties as requested


  • A bachelor’s degree
  • 3-year minimum experience in professional fundraising
  • Must embrace the mission of the Youth Impact Program
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills
  • Have knowledge and experience in fundraising techniques
  • Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, board members and other volunteers
  • Have the desire to build external relationships
  • Be a “self-starter” and goal driven to initiate donor visits and fundraising calls
  • Be organized and exhibit “follow through” on tasks and goals
  • Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability


  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Pay: $30-$35k per year
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 30-35 hrs per week
