Established: 1880
Los Angeles was little more than a frontier town in 1880 when USC first opened its doors to 53 students and 10 teachers. Today it is a world-class research university, the oldest private research university in the West.  

Youth Impact Program at USC: The Youth Impact Program at USC was the first program esatblished by Riki Ellison.  Since then, the program has expanded its dedication to the Los Angeles community.  The USC YIP program continues to grow and be a model of success for the Youth Impact Prorgram.
