The Inaugural Youth Impact Program (YIP) for Girls, hosted by the University of Michigan, is a ten day program that focuses on, mentorship, academics, life skills and exposure to athletics for young women in middle school (6th & 7th grade) across the Detroit area. Various female student-athletes from the University of Michigan will provide a transformational mentorship opportunity that consists of academic sessions in the morning and early afternoon, with athletic sessions taking place in the afternoon. Students will also participate in workshops and field trips, and will have the opportunity to learn from guest speakers.
