Mr. Roger Craig

Mr. Craig is a successful marketing and business development professional, former all-pro football running back, and motivational speaker. For over 10 years, Mr. Craig has been a regular speaker at meetings of Fortune 500 companies and charitable organizations. As a motivational speaker, he is known for dynamic talks on leadership, teamwork and generating sales.

Global organizations include Nike, Cisco Systems, Longs Drugs and John Deere have created motivational videos featuring Mr. Craig. He has delivered talks to executive, sales, and marketing organizations at the world’s leading companies, including companies as diverse as visa, FedEx, Nike, Kyphon, Cisco Systems, Reuters, Mercury Interactive, E. & J. Gallo Winery, Beringer Vineyards, Toyota, Coors, Burger King, Cosair, Yahoo, Sprint and the United Way.

Mr. Craig spent 11 years as a professional football player in the National Football League. Throughout his career, he was an all-pro running back and broke numerous records. Some of his accomplishments include tying the record for the most points scored in a Super Bowl, being selected for the Pro-bowl fives times and NFL MVP and Sports Illustrated Player of the Year in 1988.

While with the San Francisco 49ers, Mr. Craig won three Super Bowls and never missed a Playoff in his 11 year career and was the first player in the NFL history to rush and receive for 1000 yards in the same season. The same year, he led the NFL in receptions as a running back with 92 catches. Mr. Craig has been named to the Team of the Decade (80s). In 2008, Mr. Craig was enshrined to the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame. In 2009, Mr. Craig participated in the NFL Super Bowl Coin Toss, with General Petraeus, John Elway and Lynn Swan in Tampa, FL. More recently, Mr. Craig was recognized as an ‘Iowa Sport Hero’. In 2010, Mr. Craig was among the 15 finalists for the NFL Hall of Fame.

After leaving football, Mr. Craig appeared as a commentator for 3 regional NFL Sports Shows and co-founded the CLS Sports Inc. a sports marketing company. Later, he joined the TIBCO Software Inc. as director of business development.

Of al his professional achievements, Mr. Craig is most proud of community service, his life with his wife Vernessia, and their five children.
